Overview & Highlights

Welcome to Gutierrez, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Koln, Germany, at Steinstraße 58. This restaurant transforms an old factory space into a vibrant culinary experience that draws you in with its warm ambiance and Spanish-inspired decor. Truly, it feels as though you’ve stepped onto the sunlit streets of Spain, where laughter and the aroma of exquisite dishes mingle.

At Gutierrez, every date night and casual gathering becomes memorable, thanks to the attentive and friendly staff who treat guests like family. Diners rave about the delightful tapas that the menu boasts, with favorites like Garnelen in Knoblauchsauce (prawns in garlic sauce) and the sweet delight of aubergines with honey stealing the show. These dishes are not just food; they are an experience, meant to inspire conversation and connection. The vibrant flavors will undoubtedly make you crave more.

The restaurant’s atmosphere is spacious and well-lit, perfect for unwinding after a long day. Reviewers have commented on how Gutierrez is an ideal spot for chilling with friends or enjoying an intimate evening out. As Anna A. Shakotko beautifully put it, the place is just right for a date night—a perfect blend of comfort and style.

With a menu that offers a vast array of options, including seafood and meat dishes, Gutierrez doesn’t stop at tapas. Be sure to plan ahead if you wish to savor their renowned paella, which requires a day’s advance notice to prepare—a testament to the care and dedication that goes into each plate.

Although most dishes receive high praise, it’s worth noting some personal recommendations alongside cautious advice. Yiğit Aydın highlights the exceptional taste of the Prawns with garlic and specially the tender Rinderfiletspitz, while other items have drawn less favorable opinions. However, as in any culinary adventure, it's all about exploring the menu and discovering your own favorites.

In a nutshell, Gutierrez is more than just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of culture through cuisine. Whether you’re in for tapas, a glass of wine, or a memorable evening surrounded by glowing decorations and the sounds of Spain, Gutierrez promises an experience that you'll long to revisit. We went to Gutierrez for a date night with my boyfriend. I loved the place - very spacey, plenty of light, nice decorations that take you on holiday to Spain. The staff was extremely fun and nice. I loved particularly two types of tapas from the menu: Garnelen in Knoblauchsauce and aubergines with honey). Definitely want to go there again to try paella (needs to be preordered a day in advance). Great place to spend time in Porz.

Very cute old factory rurned around in a restaurant. Good food, friendly stuff working there

This is one place that is worth revisiting. Huge menu. Beautiful location. Attentive staff. And the food.....awesome.

Very nice tapas place to chill and enjoy the evening

We have ordered 8 different tapas. I would definitely advise 2 of them which were extremely good: 1. Prawns with garlic (cooked with butter, was just super tasty), 2. Beef for meat lovers (I guess it is Rinderfiletspitz), 3. Fried crab (Crispy and yummy). What I wouldn’t advise is that Aioli with Olives as it was pretty bad (probably olives are from Aldi and nothing special, aioli was not aioli even) and mussels with tomato sauce (it was hard to find mussels in tomato sauce, was over salty and not tasty).

The most amazing food and a lovely staff... Couldn't recommend more. Just loved everything...
